I signed up for swim camp because I want to do a triathlon. But although I enjoy running and love cycling, I merely TOLERATE swimming. By the end of the clinic, I became more conscious of my breathing and how my entire body is moving through the water, and I even learned to bilateral breathe! Now I actually look FORWARD to getting into the water because I feel like I’m being given the tools to become a good swimmer.

Like many Triathletes, I have adult onset swimming disorder (i.e., not a great swimmer). I’ve always got thru the swim -but with varying degrees of success. I’m not new to swimming, I have completed 5 IM and dozens of 70.3’s, but I found the camp a great time to re-concentrate and fine tune my form. Honestly, it made me realize how much I never really understood and therefore wasn’t performing correctly. The fundamental drills pointed out things to me that I was doing incorrectly. It’s truly a camp for those that are either learning to competitively swim, or for skilled life-long swimmers, those that have been out of the lanes for a few years, and for us “home-schooled” swimmers that need pointers, tips, and a watchful eye to help us with our goal of getting better.
