The Cedar Hill Triathlon Festival needs you! Volunteers are needed to help with everything from packet pick-up, race set up, aid stations, transition, run and bike course monitoring and more. Please fill out the form below and let us know what areas you are interesting in volunteering.

All athletes will receive 3 bags at packet pickup. Use these bags to make sure your belongings are where they need to be race day.
- Morning Clothes Bag: This bag is a large paper REI bag. This bag should hold any items you wore to race site or that you will not be using during the race. You will need to drop this bag at the designated Bag drop table outside of transition on race morning. It will be transported with your Swim/Bike bag to T2 for pick up, post-race.
- Swim/Bike Bag: This bag is WHITE. It will hold anything you will use during the swim that you will not take with you on the bike. Examples include: swim cap, goggles, or wetsuit (if applicable). After the swim, we will transport all your gear to T2 for you to pick up post-race.
- Run Bag: This bag is RED. It should hold all the items needed for your T2 (from bike to run)
Sunday June 10th
5:00a – Shuttle service to T1 begins at athlete parking see shuttle map. There is no parking at Cedar Hill State Park. All athletes and spectators will need to shuttle to T1/Swim Start.

5:00a -7:00a – Shuttles running to State Park and back for athlete & spectators
7:00a – 8:45am – Shuttle service paused. Shuttles resume when last Olympic racer is out of transition. Spectators – see Spectator and Sherpa area on the website.
8:45a – 9:45a – Shuttles running from State Park to Spectator Drop Off
All athletes and spectators walk to parking after post-race. ~.5mi
SATURDAY June 8th
11a – 7PM
There is no race day packet pickup for the Sprint or Olympic events. All packets must be picked up by Saturday 7PM. Bikes must be checked into T1 by 7PM
USAT Wetsuit rules will apply:
Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wetsuit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
SPECTATORS & SHERPAS!
You are welcome to join your racer using the race morning shuttles. Please use the designated parking area (see parking & shuttle info area and map). Shuttle will run from 5am – 7am down to Swim Start and T1.
Important note to spectators: Shuttles will pause from 7a – ~8:45a as parts of the shuttle route are a live race course. Shuttles will resume when all Olympic racers have left the State Park at approximately 8:45a. Please plan accordingly.

COURSE INFO & MAPS
The Sprint and Olympic races begin with a swim in the calm waters of Joe Pool Lake at Cedar Hill State Park. Upon exiting the water, participants will run approx 100ft to T1 (Transition area 1)
The beautiful bike course leaves T1 and takes participants on a 14 mile loop (Olympic racers, you do 2 loops) through Cedar Hill – complete with rolling hills and ending at T2 in the scenic Crawford Park.
Triathletes leave T2 for a flat and fast run ending back at the finish line party at Crawford Park.
The Sprint and Olympic races will use a two transition area format. T1 (swim to bike) and T2 (bike to run) are in different locations. Participants will ride their bicycles from T1 after the swim to T2, where they will begin the run.
Only participants, volunteers, USAT officials and staff are allowed in transition.
There will be mechanics race morning outside of T1 for any last minute bike maintenance needs. Once transition closes, you will not be allowed back in so make sure and arrive early.
There will be a mandatory bike check-in and bag drop for the sprint and olympic races Saturday June 9th. Bikes must be checked in by 7PM.
The Cedar Hill Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned events, the following rules apply. There are no exceptions to the rules below:
In accordance with USA Triathlon requirements, all competitors must hold a USAT membership. Memberships will be available with online registration or at packet pick-up. If card has been lost, a replacement card can be printed from the USAT website. www.usatriathlon.org
ALL racers must bring Photo ID and current annual USAT membership card to pick up packet, OR athlete must purchase a one day membership: $12 adult/ $10 youth. One-Day Pass payable by cash or check only.
Important: You must pick up your own packet. We will not allow someone else to pick up your packet for you, no exceptions. Each member of relay team must pickup their own packet

This wave is for pros and elite age groupers. If you would like to race this category, you will not be eligible to race in your age group or receive age group awards.
