2017 Olympic Distance Training Programs

Programs designed specifically for the advanced needs of a longer endurance event plus individual attention in all 3 disciplines through coached group and individual workouts. It is recommended that participants have completed a sprint triathlon. Open to ages 18yrs & older. 

All 2017 program dates are listed below.  All programs have a goal race but training can be used for your choice of olympic distance race.  Advanced level programs available – must have Coach’s approval to participate.

1. Olympic Program (15 weeks)

  • Monthly training plan outlining daily swim, bike and run workouts
  • Coached and fully supported group workouts (Track – Tuesday 6:30PM Lake Highlands HS, Bike – Saturday 7:00am Dallas Bike Works or Windsurf Bay Park (spring/summer),  Swim – Tues  5:30am @ Texins Activity Center or 7am  Open Water – Windsurf Bay Park
  • Training Intro Clinic – Taking your Training to the next level
  • Clinics designed for longer endurance events:

II. Advanced Level Olympic Program (10 Weeks)

Advanced program offers all the above. In addition, to be accepted into this program athletes must meet these minimum requirements:

  • completed a minimum of 1 sprint and  distance triathlon
  • competent in open water swimming
  • consistent run mileage (6+ miles per week) for 6mos
  • heart rate monitor
  • Coach approval required

Olympic program fee: $295                              $215 Tri-Now member

Advanced level program fee: $225              $155 Tri-Now member

TriWaco Olympic Program: April 5th – July 23rd REGISTER  
TriWaco Advanced program: May 10th – July 23rd REGISTER
Kerrville Tri Quarter Distance Program: June 7th – Sept 23rd REGISTER
Kerrville Tri Advanced Program: July 12th – Sept 23rd REGISTER
