2017-2018 70.3 GROUP TRAINING PROGRAMS

Train for your next 70.3 with Tri-Now. Programs are offered throughout the year to accommodate all racing seasons. Advanced programs designed for those more experienced athletes. See below for more details and all program dates.

I. Half Iron Program (22 weeks):

  • In-Depth training plan outlining daily swim, bike and run workouts
  • Baseline and Progress evaluations
  • Fully supported & coached group workouts:
    • Track – Tuesday 6:30PM Lake Highlands HS
    • Bike – Saturday 7:00am Dallas Bike Works  OR Windsurf Bay Park (summer) (later start times during winter training)
    • Swim – Thursday @ 5:30am Texins Activity Center
    • Open Water   –  Lake Ray Hubbard
  • Access to all Tri-Now Team workouts
  • Tri-Now performance shirt
  • Group Clinics designed for long course athletes including: Training for Long Course, Race Day Strategy and Performance Fueling

II. Advanced Level Program (14 weeks)

Advanced program offers all the above. In addition, to be accepted into this program athletes must meet these minimum requirements:

  • completed a minimum of 1 sprint and 1 Olympic (or international) distance triathlon
  • competent in open water swimming
  • consistent run mileage (15+ miles per week) for 6mos
  • heart rate monitor
  • A consultation with program coach to discuss above

Half Iron program fee: $395                        $275 Tri-Now member

Advanced level program fee: $325       $205 Tri-Now member
