I have been coaching runners for endurance events since 2006, having a particular affinity for those who have challenged themselves beyond their wildest dreams: be it a first run ev-er, be it a fitness goal or striving for that PR. As a coach I am fascinated by the mental and emotional part that gets you to the finish line as much as making sure you remain strong, healthy and injury free on the physical component of training. Certified TNT Coach from 2006 -2010 , trained by Olympic Coach, Mr. Jack Daniels himself , Certified RRCA coach and USAT Certified Level l Coach. I can’t wait to watch you cross that finish line and meet your goals.
I suppose it’s nice to know what I’ve done – it’s not a bazillion marathons – but I have 5 Marathons and over 25 half marathons to call mine along with 2 70.3 , 3 Olympic and numerous sprint triathlons.

Joe T – Run Leader
Jose (Joe T) Torres has devoted his life to health and fitness. He was a wrestler in high school and jointed the Marine Corps after graduating. After six years of service, he maintained a healthy lifestyle by committing to weight lifting.
Joe T began found his love for running in 2006, when he trained for his first half marathon with Team-N-Training, part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. During his time with Team-N-Training, he served as a mentor to other participants. Joe T later joined Tri-Now’s Rhythm of Running program where he continued to gain knowledge in the biomechanics of running.
On April 1, 2010, a motorcycle accident refocused his energy on running. Just eight months later, he completed his first full marathon, the Dallas Marathon. Joe T went on to volunteer with Back On my Feet. In February of 2011, he became the team coach and held the position for a year.
To date, Joe T has completed the Dallas Marathon, the London Marathon, three Marine Corps Marathons, and countless half marathons. Aside from his many accomplishments in running, he is a cyclist and completed the Baylor Tom Landry Triathlon. Joe T is also employed as an assistant trainer in a local gym and is working toward his personal training certification.
